drain it and refill,
I filled my scooter up with diesel instead of unleaded ? what should i do ?
Drain the fuel tank, then re-fill it with petrol.
If it is not a fuel injected, there should not be any other complications.
If you are not sure on the process to drain the fuel tank, have it checked out by a pro (any automotive repairer will know what to do).

You've basically put oil in your fuel tank--diesel is oil. Drain the tank, like the others said...but I'd also drain the line leading to the carb, and drain the carb., and the return line if there is one....in other words, get every bit of oil out of those lines possible. I would replace the lines on my bike...but if your bike is literally a 'scooter', that is if it is a 2 cycle motorscooter, then that won't be an issue.
Reply:Drain it,rince it out with gas and drain it again it should be fine. be carefull.
Reply:drain it out and refill{with gas}. It may take a little bit to get it started but over all it shouldn't hurt anything.
OR you could just pretend you own a harley and try to run it.
Reply:drain the diesel fuel and put it in a commercially approved plastic container. not red, or blue something so that you know its diesel. I suppose you could use red fuel container but mark it as diesel.
if you dont know how, u can buy those commercial fuel syphons? most places, wallymart, home depot, lowes should carry that stuff.
Most of them have manually operated syphoning, you just jiggle it or pump it and let it drain into another container.
safety tip: if you can have the diesel container lower then then tank, it lets gravity take over and goes much faster.
get as much as you can out of that, you may have to flush with
higher octane fuel to flush it out. You dont want to run alot or any diesel thorugh the block, it will foul? your plugs and harm the engine.
hth.

Reply:Do what everyone said, and then smack yourself for wasting all of that money while obviously trying to save money. lol The gas stations in your area must be different from the ones here. It's a difficult mistake to make. :p
