Hey guys! I found this Motorcycle: http://www.oodle.com/view/2007-Buell-XB9...
2007 Buell XB9R
Usually, this bike averages between $7000 - $9000 so I thought it was a great deal. So I emailed the guy about the bike. I will show you the emails. It looks like I do not have enough room here, I will try to reply each time to show each email. Hope it works.
Should I buy this motorcycle?
never buy a used bike unless you can pick it up from the owner in person. this sounds like a scammer
Should I buy this motorcycle?
You are being scammed. Forget about this "bike" and move on. The scammer has several e-mail accounts, one of which appears to be a shipping company. He will send you phony pictures and documents, then ask for a wire transfer (i.e. Western Union). You will never see the bike or your money. Do yourself a favor and break off this transaction without giving out any personal information or any money. Read up on scams like this here: www.419eater.com
Reply:its can somtimes be yor choice or parents and it can be the space of your house
Reply:Hmm well the linky isn't working any more but I would be very cautious...when something seems too good to be true...then usually it is. Why would he volunteer to have it shipped to you at his own expense? Seems very fishy indeed, plus he didn't answer any of your direct questions, or offer to send the pics you requested. If the bike is such a good deal then surely he would get offers from people locally and save himself a packet on shipping fees.
I would forget about it and look for something closer you can view in person and collect yourself.
Reply:I personally would not buy this motorcycle. If the price seems moderatly low for what it would normally sell for, and the person is promising to cover expenses that no one else normally would...then there must be a catch. There have been many "scams" very similiar to this one where payment has been sent by the buyer, and the bike (or whatever product) is never delivered. It would be virtually impossible for you to seek any reimbursement if the deal went bad.
My best friend had almost this exact situation occur regarding a sportbike and a seller from Germany a few years back. The bike was listed at a very good (too good) price, and he never heard another word from the seller once payment was sent. $8,000 mistake for him.
Another thing that seems strange...the person moved there...and then decided to sell the bike to someone from another country. Why not sell the bike before you move...or sell it to someone in Europe. I have a hard time believing that an american made bike would have a hard time selling at a fair price...in Europe of all places. Imagine someone from Europe bringing a Ducati, Aprilia, or MV Augusta to the US and having a hard time selling it for a cheap price?!?!
It doesn't seem right in my mind, and if the deal seems too good to be true...it probably is.
Cheap price and free shipping (across an ocean) = SCAM (In my opinion.)
Reply:This is the most bent " deal " I have ever heard.
Its a scam. If you want a bike, buy one from a local dealer or private. Not over the internet like this.
You will spend a fortune on shipping costs for nothing.
Walk away from this. I see the website link you put up has removed this bike already.
Reply:Stop now.
If you can not personally go there,
view the bike, start the bike, ride the bike, and drive away with it when you buy it, forget it. The other poster was right about the scams, phoney email accts etc.
If the price is too good to be true, it probably is.
That's the way millions get scammed.
If you get the vin number you can run a check on carfax for a fee. It would give you the history and owners.

Reply:I've bought 14 used bikes and would never buy one that I haven't seen. Also the complication of shipping would be a giant pain. And thirdly while the Buell looks kind of cool, it is a lousy sport bike. Check the numbers, for the money, for the size, you would be hard pressed to find a worse bike. Performance wise it is just a sporty looking Harley. http://www.mcnews.com/mcn/technical/2008...
Reply:Its says its in Phoenix, and in the pictures there is snow on the ground.
How do I put this: ITS A SCAM BECAUSE IT NEVER SNOWS IN PHOENIX.
If you want a cheap buell, look for a wrecked one.
Reply:Just in case you haven't figured it out yet, SCAM!!!!!
Reply:sorry...to tell you this is a scam
1st of all Buell is a POS
2nd never buy anything over sea....etc
Reply:You are being scammed!
I've had someone try this after I lost out on bidding for a bike. They see that you want the bike, claim that they have it, then insist on shipping. Notice that they want money before you even get to see the bike? What kind of seller would be so set on going through the hassle of shipping at their own expense? Offer to go pick it up and see what they say.
Reply:Now listen, IT LOOKS LIKE A COMPLETE SCAM IN EVERY WAY.
First is that he asks about HALF what the bike is worth.
All that follows looks like a SCAM.
