Does the crankcases backpressure help seel combustion pressure within the cylinder?

my dirtbikes running like junk, i have a hole in the crank case from my aftermarket racing chain ( oversized i assume)

No,





If you have a carburator with a fuel pump it wont get enough vacumme to operate correctly.

You loose oil pressure from a hole in the crank case. This reacts the same as if you where very low on oil. This would create a problem. Replace asap. Do you have the correct sprocket set for the chain?
Reply:If you have a 2 stroke engine, yes, having a hole in the crankcase or even a crankshaft seal leaking will make them run like crap. The piston coming down pressurizes the crankcase and then forces the fuel air mix into the cylinder when the port opens.
