Moving to Canada, I want to cahnge my occupation to become a motorcycle mechanic, is this hard?

Hi there, I might be moving to Canada, south Ontario.

And I want to change my occupation when I get there, currently I work as a chef, but work part time in a motorcycle shop, doing junior tasks, such as servicing, tyres and brakes. I have found that I love being in the bike shop and want to make this my full time job.

So is it easy to get a job with no qualifications?

I hear that I need to be licenced?

I have no formal qualifications, in this trade, but would be willing to go to night school.

I live in the UK at the moment and may move over there in three or four months.

Thanks for your help

yeah, it would be hard as CANADA IS COLD most of the year, and gas is far cheaper in Canada than it is in the UK, so The cold people will be driving cars, and the gas is cheap enough to not have to resort to riding a motorcycle.

So, there are very few motorcycles.

How about being a Snowmobile mechanic?

Reply:"Distance learning" may be your best bet. Check out pennfostercollege.edu for motorcycle mechanic course description and tuition information.
Reply:bad idea
Reply:If you are young and have the opportunity to further your education, do something, anything, other than becoming a motorcycle mechanic. There is nothing wrong with doing it as a hobby, but, seriously I cannot recommend it as a good career choice.
Reply:oh goody, yet another immigrant with vague job plans, yay! my taxes aren't high enough yet, let's bring in more!

at least you're likely white coming from england and can speak the language
