I changed the bore of my yamaha rx 135 (5 speed) recently my mileage and pick up dropped considerably. My mechanic said it was some compression problem, so he re-bored the engine. Though the pickup increased a little the mileage dropped more. Now he suggests that that bore has to be replaced again. What is wrong with my bike and should the bore be replaced again?

I figure he bored it out too far for the long life of the motor. Or maybe you were just unlucky. If he is not going to give you a break on this round of service, I'd suggest that you take it else where.
