ok on the title it has 12 numbers and thats with out the dashes. some websites dont go back later than 81 but its my uncles old bike he died when i was 16 now im 19 also since he is gone would his wife have to sign the title over to me or what

It's usually stamped into the metal at or near the yoke or steering head.

Its either stamped on the bikes frame near the petrol tank or on a metal plate attached to the front of the bike..
Reply:You will find the VIN stamped into the neck of the frame.


Having the title makes things easier.


She may or may not need to have the title changed before signing it over to you. Laws vary from state to state, and I don't know where you are.
